For this project, TriAxis provided transmission line and switching station design consisting of a new 115-kV transmission source and 13.8-kV distribution source to an existing industrial facility. The project was designed to replace two existing high-capacity 13.8-kV feeds to the facility.

Design features include:

• A double circuit 115-kV twin bundle 795-kcmil ACSR transmission line with steel pole construction.


• Alluvial soil conditions required deep steel foundation sections that were augured and driven into place.


• The line included double circuit 13.8-kV 1272-kcmil underbuild and fiber optic communications cable.
