PANTHER CREEK III 345-KV

Sterling County, Texas
Owner: E.ON Energy

The 345-kV single-circuit overhead transmission line is 11.5 miles long built with single, concrete or tubular-steel poles. The conductor is a 2-bundle 795 kcmil Drake ACSR per phase. The conducts are supported from I-String insulators and steel davit arms. The line has one 48-fiber optic shield wire (OPGW) and one 7/16 EHS shield wire. Average span lengths are 800 feet long and the route includes seven angle poles which are supported with guys and anchors. TriAxis determined the environmental structural loadings for the project and prepared the preliminary and final design. TriAxis provided assistance to the Owner for Right-of-Way easement acquisition, prepared transmission line unit assemblies, line guying and anchoring design assemblies, guy arrangement drawings, and construction specifications. TriAxis also prepared Bid Document Notebooks for Rosendin to acquire bids or pricing, assembled “For Bidding” and “For Construction” project notebooks with necessary drawings, staking sheets, and stringing charts. TriAxis provided design reviews, with attention to schedule and budget. TriAxis coordinated with Rosendin throughout design and construction periods and provided consulting assistance.
