This double-circuit 34.5-kV, 4-wire, grounded-Y, overhead line is approximately 5.6 miles long and was built with polymer horizontal post insulators and single-wood-pole structures. The design includes two-pole structures for medium and large line angles. All angles and deadends are guyed. The conductor is one 1272 kcmil ACSR Bittern per phase, carrying a peak load of 50 MW per circuit. OPGW (fiber optic shield wire) was used for the entire line. TriAxis was responsible for the complete overhead line design. TriAxis also provided engineering support during bidding and construction.
